Skipped a couple of days 😦

Today it went well, some of the weak left hand only exercises felt much improved, in particular the left hand only Hanon tasks on Anki (TSR = time spaced repetition). Currently, these Anki tasks for left-hand Hanon have a range of intervals from less than a week to several months. It’s quite interesting as with each review, the interval increases (if it went OK), then for some it reaches a point (several weeks or more) where they feel, leaden, or like wading through molases, and mistakes happen frequently – so these are fails and Anki restarts these with short review times. However, progress seems much more rapid the second pass and intervals increase more rapidly (basically they feel much easier). Currently 15 of 20 Hanon Left Hand only tasks are "mature". In Anki parlance, this means that their review intervals are 21 days or greater.

I enjoyed the contrary motion scale (Bmajor). For some reason these feel more ‘piece like’ than parallel motion scales. This took a couple of 5 minute tasks to get come together. It seems the trickiest so far (C, G, D & E), but I’m enjoying these! Because it’s been the trickiest, I haven’t attempted the ‘Grand Pattern’ with it.
